After a tremendous response to last year’s competition, the FUCHS motorbike giveaway is back and this time it's even bigger (quite literally) than ever before!
FUCHS is giving one lucky winner the chance to ride off on their own monster machine; a BMW R 1200 GS Adventure - the ultimate long-distance endurance motorcycle, worth over £12,000. This year though, there is a slight twist to the proceedings…
Keen television viewers and wannabe globetrotters will be aware that this is the same bike that Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman rode on their epic journeys in Long Way Round and Long Way Down. The bike will have completed its own adventure though, when it's ridden by two FUCHS UK employees in a gruelling 4000 mile, 2 week round trip across Europe to Kiev in the Ukraine, all in the name of charity. Proceeds raised from the bike ride will be going to the UNICEF Kids in Kiev appeal, which supports children who have been physically and emotionally affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
As well as a number of dealer fitted extras and accessories, including two water tight aluminium side cases and a topcase, heated hand grips, and Bluetooth® enabled BMW Motorrad Europe Navigator, the bike comes a with an array of amazing features as standard. The BMW R 1200 GS Adventure is THE motorcycle of choice for hard core globetrotters. It has been tested on some of the world’s toughest routes to ensure that every journey, even your ride to work, is an adventure.
