Research & DevelopmentThe Fuchs group has a very strong focus on Research and Development and Technical support, having more than 300 Chemists and Technical support staff operating around the world. Expertise exists in all Industrial and Automotive product applications in addition to special sectors such as Pharmaceutical products. The group operates R&D centres in many countries and we have excellent communication and coordination between the working groups to ensure our Research projects run on time and to the maximum benefit of our customers. Our corporate laboratories in Mannheim are extensively equipped with specialist laboratory equipment and resources and the test field centre contains many test stands designed in many cases jointly with our customers to test our newly developed products to the limit. The UK laboratory is extremely well equipped for both R&D and Technical after sales support, having state of the art equipment and highly trained staffs who have extensive knowledge. Our R&D capability is proven and audited to the highest levels and in 2008 we were awarded BS EN 9100 and authorised for the Design, develop and manufacture of products for the Aerospace market. We are proud to have been awarded ISO 14001, environmental standard and a key part of design criteria is to ensure that we choose the best materials to use in our formulations to minimise impact on the environment and people whilst providing still the highest performance, Fuchs is at the leading edge of lubricant design to provide products based on renewable resources. Our Research staff have specialist knowledge and skills to cover all applications, from racing motorcycle lubricants to aerospace fluids, cleaners, hygiene products, Fire resistant hydraulics, metal working fluids and all types of industrial lubricants, we carry out first class research and product development, always taking care to ensure that we utilise our collective knowledge to get to the best solutions for our customers. |
