CENT Condition Monitoring Offers Greater Reliability and Economy

Every company will have mechanical plant & equipment which could fail without warning; causing problems which range from mild inconvenience to complete catastrophe. The FUCHS CENT system can help prevent these problems.

CENT will provide maintenance mangers with regular and accurate reports that give clear indication of the condition of plant & equipment. Based on sophisticated laboratory and computer analysis and diagnosed by condition monitoring experts, the CENT report will highlight problems before failure occurs, there-by ensuring maintenance decisions effectively eliminate or reduce the possibility of mechanical failure.

How does CENT work?

CENT uses wear debris and vibration monitoring techniques to measure the condition of plant and equipment.

Regular, scheduled analysis of used oil samples and vibration data enables accurate alarm levels and trends to be established for individual applications. The unique CENT Metallurgy Database also allows for the identification of specific components within the application that are giving cause for alarm.

The complex data is presented in an easily understandable, full colour CENT report, which uses graphical trends and traffic light status indicators. Reports are then sent out by e-mail, Internet or post.

Where can CENT be used?

The FUCHS CENT System can benefit a wide spectrum of mechanical plant & equipment including:

CENT Communicator Software

CENT Communicator provides the option of electronic transfer of CENT data to your PC or network. Reports can be transferred in seconds to a specially designed database with a full viewing and reviewing facility for each item of plant and equipment.

Additionally, CENT Communicator also allows:-

  • Sampling frequencies for each application can be scheduled on a weekly basis and the required sample bottle labels printed.
  • Viewing and printing of sampling schedules
  • Viewing of alarm levels on graphical trends
  • Printing of reports and graphical trends
  • Viewing and printing of Monitoring Reviews showing status of samples over a 6 or 12 month period.

The FUCHS CENT System is more than just figures

FUCHS Specialists will design a tailor-made, condition monitoring programme for your plant and equipment. FUCHS will recommend sampling points, methods and frequencies. Information on your plant and equipment will be programmed into the CENT Metallurgical database to increase the accuracy of analysis.

An integral part of the CENT System is support from experienced FUCHS Specialists, who will not just analyse CENT data but also assist in solving the problem. This is a FUCHS principal.

In Brief:

The Advantages of the CENT System

The CENT SystemThe CENT System is a customised, predictive condition monitoring programme which will reduce maintenance costs and improve reliability. The CENT SystemSimple to implement, easy to use and no investment in personnel or technology necessary. The CENT System is ready to use with no teething problems The CENT SystemClear, precise feedback in the form of graphs and reports along with suggestions for remedial action. This eliminates time consuming in-house examinations. The CENT Report "Traffic Lights" show immediately if your plant or machinery is in satisfactory condition, and if not, what action is required. The CENT SystemImmediate telephone or fax message if the analysis indicates cause for concern. An early warning system you can count on!
