Introduction

Welcome to “Volk Tales”, a series of stories direct from the raucously noisy and superheated cockpit of my racing Golf GTI; attempting to explain something of what it is to be an amateur racing driver in the prestigious Volkswagen Racing Cup.

This is my third year competing in this national motor racing championship and after finishing 17th overall in 2010 and 16th in 2011, I’m aiming to improve again in 2012. These bulletins should explain how I succeed, or fail, in this endeavour.
